Join in celebrating Texas Museum Ships on the air
The Brazos Valley Amateur Radio Club, KK5W is participating in this year’s Museum Ships Weekend. June 1-2, 2013. The call sign, KK5W will be credited as a contact with both WW II Submarine USS Cavalla and Destroyer Escort USS Stewart. For more information: CLICK HERE. We Administer License Exams any Saturday!
If you're ready to take an exam but just can't fit one into your schedule, give us 48 hours' notice by sending an email to VEC (at) sbarcnm.org.)Then join us for our weekly breakfast gathering on Saturdays at El Paraiso Mexican Restaurant in the Sierra Mall, Ruidoso. We start showing up when the restaurant opens at 8AM. Meet friends or make new ones, have a good breakfast, take the test, and leave with your new license on its way.

The Sierra Blanca Amateur Radio Club is an organization of amateur radio operators based in Ruidoso, New Mexico, located in the Sacramento Mountains in the south-central part of the state.
In addition to conducting regular general meetings and a weekly breakfast gathering, we provide radio communications support during local emergencies, such as search and rescue missions and wildfires, as well as for various public service events in Lincoln County, NM. The club also sponsors two linked open VHF repeaters on 146.920 (-, 100Hz0 and 145.450 (-, 100Hz).
Whether you are new to amateur radio or an experienced ham, a current member or someone who is interested in learning about our organization, we hope you find this website useful. Enjoy, and please don't hesitate to contact us with your comments or questions!
